Red & Elgant Glitter Nails - Jo's Birthday Collaboration.

Allo polish Pals!
How are you all doing today? I hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far!

Today's an odd one in this house. Its Christmas! Ha, I'll explain. Since I'll be back in Holland for Christmas this year my Mum has decided to do an early Christmas dinner with all the trimmings so I don't have to miss my English Christmas dinner – so sweet! We'll be having more family over too, it's going to be lovely!

Today I have a manicure that came from a collaboration I did recently. Yesterday it was Jo's (@Joannahowland on IG) birthday so a bunch of lovely and talented artists came together on Instagram to surprise her; Katie and Sammi did a wonderful job organising the collaboration and we managed to get the college posted out at midnight to surprise her! The theme was Red and Elegant which seemed fitting for such a lovely lady! I decided to go for some ribbons and bows.

Ping! Idea! I know! I'll link all the artists at the bottom of the post.  By the way.. please excuse how miss shaped my thumb nail looks. I'd filed the night before and clearly done a wonderful job (!)

For this manicure I began with my OPI nail Envy base coat (I've run out of Mezmris and have like 1 cm left of nail envy, argh!) Next I applied three thin coats of George's 'Superhero'. It was the only red I had here, luckily my mum had bought it for me before I arrived! Once dry I applied some Pro-FX top coat and carefully tipped some loose red glitter top the tops of my nails. After shaking off the excess I sealed the glitter with an old crappy top coat (to spare my Pro-FX being filled with glitter!)

Next I created my bows and ribbons using white and grey acrylic paints and my beloved Pure Color brush in size 9. This is the brush I've been using for all my detailing, even very small things lately. Finally I applied two more glossy coats of Pro-FX and tada!

Everyone created beautiful manicures, if you are looking for people to follow these girls are crazy awesome!

Everyone did a brilliant job – the artists who took part are: Katie @katiesdazzlingdigits – Sammi @Saphire_nails – Riley @Damningeden – Ale @upadaisynails – Lina @lina88makeup – Amber –  @nailiesbyrushi – Silvie @cheekynailmonkey– Megan @nails_by_meggy – Alba @angelkiss.naillacquer – Shantell @miss-chonails – Berta @beju_nailart – Dani @creatively_danielle

What do you think of my red and elegant nail art? Do you like red nail art designs?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my friends! I'll be back on Tuesday for some proper winter themed nail art! Thank you for visiting.
